  • Washing a fursuit when Refreshing is not enough anymore. When it comes time to wash the suit, fursuiters consider each part individually. If foam is soaked in water, it may not dry quickly enough and start to grow bacteria or fungus before it does. Airbrushed patterns may fade if washed. Glue used to hold parts of the suit together may weaken if washed. Leather is usually not advisable to soak in water. If the suit has any electronics, those may be damaged by water. If wire or plastic canvas gives part of the suit its shape, it may not be advisable to soak that part, or at least not to machine-wash it.
  • Washing is a song sung by Marge in "Double, Double, Boy in Trouble"
  • Washing est le titre de la dix-septième musique de la bande originale du jeu Harry Potter et la Chambre des Secrets.
  • Washing is frequently used in the preparation of grossly contaminated (i.e., wild-collected) material prior to its introduction into tissue culture. It is common to remove plant products for tissue culture from greenhouse, field, or wild environments, which are then washed in running tap water to remove gross contamination. For particularly large samples, it is possible to do a tear-down, and remove progressively younger layers of tissue either manually or with a blade in order to reach relatively clean tissues.
  • In this section titled "washing" I will be providing a step by step instructional guide on how to propely wash a vehicle's body and wheels. ~ Products ~ 1. * Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner ~ What you will need ~ 1. * Two automotive buckets 2. * One microfiber mitten 3. * One shammy ~ How to ~

* One shammy ~ How to ~ In this section I will be giving the step by step guidelines to ensure your car is free of dirt and grime. I will be teaching you a three bucket process which is used by many detailers. You will need to fill two buckets up with your two car washing products, one of the body and the other for the rims. Your third bucket will be only water to get any dirt off your mitts so they don't get put back on the car. I suggest two microfiber mitts because your rims will most likely be extremely dirty and you wouldn't want to risk putting it on the body of your car. Be sure to always wash your car in the shade to prevent water spotting from the sun drying the water on your car. If available a pressure washer helps remove dirt and grit better than a standard hose. Never press hardly on the paint as any contaminants caught in your mitts cause cause scratching. Please refer to the Wheels section of this website on how to properly maintain your tires/wheels. 1. * Fill up two buckets with your car washing chemicals and the other with plain water. Use the second bucket to wash off any dirt on your mitten. 2. * Spray your car from top to bottom, including rims to knock enough lose dirt particles off. 3. * Use your mitten to clean the body of the automobile starting from top to bottom working one body panel at a time, in a circular motion. To ensure the chemicals don't dry wash and rinse one body panel at a time. 4. * Finally use the shammy completely dry your car and minimize the risk of water spotting. Sometimes you're just not fast enough and the water will begin to spot quickly. If that is the case I suggest you use Mequiar's quick detailer if you're not going to wax the car.

From smaller samples, either collected individually or procured through the techniques described above, samples may be washed or disinfected by placing them in appropriately-sized containers which are filled with a disinfection solution, and a wetting agent (if desired), and agitated for some period of time. In this manner, one may use a relatively dilute disinfection solution, and place the container on a shaker table or similar for several hours if necessary to procure clean cultures.
