- The Unknown Regions, Unknown Space, Unknown Sector, or Unknown Territories is the name for the largest Universal region in the Universe. It is named Unknown because of the many criminals and weird planets and species in it, inculding the Yuuzkan Species, who ally mainly with the Galactic Empire. Unknown Space doesn't have many major trade routes, rarely sees Earth as the Universal center of civilzation, and never was part of the Universal Republic, not one world a member. However, the Galactic Empire maintains its control in the region, with powers in it being puppet and presence states of the Galactic Empire.
