| abstract | - An early performer and purveyor of hip hop, Paradise Gray is now also a writer, archivist, historian and photographer. As a community activist, Gray was director of Almost Home, a mentoring program and alternative community space for children and teens. He now serves on the board of One HOOD and was also honored with the 2007 "Communicator of the Year Award" by the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation.
