If you google average weights, the factor is usually not age, but rather a ratio of height vs weight. For example, if you said the minimum weight for a fourteen year old was, say 40kg, and your kid was short and thin for their age, it wouldn't be accurate. However, if you said that 40kg was the minimum for someone of around 4'10", and your kid was shorter, the ratio is way more accurate.

There are probably more accurate ones out there, but I needed to see it in kilograms (as in Australia we use the metric system.)
