When not at home, Jack and Victor are usually hanging out at their local pub The Clansman owned by Boabby (Scottish form of Bobby) (who would come up with a new nickname for Jack and Victor whenever they entered the pub but they would always come back with a comment that would put Boabby in his place) with their friends Winston, Tam and Eric and also go to a shop called Harrid's ran by Navid (who moved to Glasgow from India in the 1970s) and his wife Meena. Also there is the cleaner Isa, the town gossiper who also lives in Osprey Heights. Jack is played by Ford Kiernan and Victor is played by Greg Hemphill.
