| Synopsis | - On the astral plane, Azmodus battles the Spectre. On earth, Madame Xanadu creates a summoning spell, hoping to distract Azmodus so that the Spectre can save Amy Beitermann.
Lt. Nate Kane wakes up on the sidewalk outside Amy's apartment. Inside, Amy notices Nate lying there. She is about to go outside and help him, but then the Reaver (Daniel Geller) breaks down her door. He explains that she was the one who gave him AIDS and then attacks her. She fights back, but he slices her stomach with a knife.
On the astral plane, the Spectre senses that Amy is in trouble. With the Spectre distracted, Azmodus gains the upper hand in their battle.
Amy continues to fight back against the Reaver, cutting his face. She runs outside, trying to escape. But he jumps out of her window and lands in front of her apartment building. Amy runs, as he chases her down the street. She runs down an alley that turns out to be a dead end. Still lying on the street, Lt Nate Kane hears her scream and runs toward her.
Madame Xanadu summons Azmodus. Azmodus is furious. Weakened, he appears in Madame Xanadu's parlor and threatens her: "There will be a reckoning." While he is doing so, the Spectre gains the upper hand and rips off Azmodus' cloak, freeing all the shadows that Azmodus had taken. He then returns to earth, determined to save Amy.
With Azmodus, loss of control, the Reaver's shadow returns to him, and he suddenly gets no pleasure from attacking Amy. He decides finish Amy immediately and is about to plunge his knife into her. The Spectre is on his way...
