  • A Mystique Meeting
rdfs:comment
  • Today was tiresome. The only thing uplifting about it was Mitsuru's words; though while he was excited to hear them, he probably wasn't going to go through on them. "…Yes. I will allow you to sleep with a woman, since it's not really hurting anyone." To Gai, his next words seemed cut off, but the mouthing essentially conveyed, "Go near a guy with lustful eyes and you're dead." Haha. No way. Mitsuru wouldn't be that jealous. But Gai was sure of himself; Mitsuru was the only person he could ever feel romantic or sexual affection for nowadays, or so he thought. While he was perfectly happy being with Mitsuru Inazuma, he did wish to at least try and score with a woman who wasn't preachy, no matter how much he tried to deny it.

Gai's brunette hair was splayed out in all directions at the ends, reaching down to his waist. Several large clumps of hair stuck out, some curling away horizontally. His bangs framed his face, though they had two 'layers', with the behind layers falling to rest upon his chest. There were a few locks of hair kept in the middle of his forehead; there was a slim curled forelock of hair at the top of his head. Small hips, white long legs and thighs, and a nice curved rear. There were several impossibly attractive women in Earth, Soul Society, and Hell, though Gai's body was far more beautiful than all of those, from past, present, and future, even though he was a guy. It could be classified as art; a body with perfect shape. It looked like a nude body painting or statute on display at the museum. His azure within magenta eyes sparkled in a similar manner to a stream. He really wasn't watching where he was going, as expected of someone who is able to get lost in a straight corridor. Yes, it was possible. The wind howled throughout the area; sending a chill down the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid's spine. He was never good with people; let alone wandering through a crowd for extended periods of time. It was true; his mind worked out of step with everyone else's. He never knew what to say to other people, so he hid his nervousness behind a chilly façade. It also explained his unusual choice of friends and the fact that if he spoke up more, a lot of turmoil could have been avoided. SLAM! While staring at his belly-button to convey that he was deep in thought, Gai Nagareboshi bumped into a complete stranger. Whoa. It was looking into a mirror and gazing upon himself. Gai could only gawk; he wasn't able to take his eyes off this young woman. She had stunning scarlet hair. Her slim proportion wasn't something you could call modern; she seemed to be just like him- the only things that allowed the two to be distinguished was that he had brown hair, no breasts and male genitalia. Eerie, really; they could be considered brother and sister…or sister and sister by standing together. Gai's eyes were drawn to her crimson red hair; something he couldn't take his eyes off of about her. To the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid, the surroundings around her also appeared tinged scarlet, just like her hair colour. Her blue eyes changed and she let up a small, sweet smile; a smile that Gai wasn't too sure about. Was it directed at him? It couldn't be; he'd never seen her in his entire life, though she did feel familiar. Almost as if he had longed for her for eons, and just now they had reunited. "U-Uhh…" Gai was at an utter loss for words. Who the hell was she? All he knew was: he was mesmerized by her stunning vermillion hair which fluttered about in the wind. Her smile turned into a look of utmost worry and concern, as her lips said, "…Hurry up. It's hungry; it's reaching closer and closer by the minute as you sit around, dawdling." SMACK! Such a love at first sight was ruined by the stuff of nightmares. He didn't know what the hell this 'thing' was, but that sentence seriously worried him. It seemed as if relaxation and a cute meeting were out to lunch. Scrambling to his feet without hesitation, the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid gripped the young woman's hand, her soft, snow-white hand, before rushing off at incredible speeds. Escaping to a safe location; north-west of the Walls of Eyes, the two collapsed utterly, breathing heavily. Hell, even Gai didn't know what the heck they were running from- all he knew was, this person needed to be saved. To tell the truth, he didn't know why he would save someone he had just met so enthusiastically- goddammit, he wasn't a shining paragon. "W-What the…!?" Hell, even Gai was surprised at what he had just done. If that devil woman was here, she would probably note how out-of-character this would be for him. "…Thank you. …Finally, I get to meet you in person." The woman continued, "…Heh. You look so familiar." Damn! It was like she was taking words out of his mouth. "Now…I need your assistance- only you can help me." Gai glared at her with a nonplussed and apathetic expression, cutting her off. "Not interested." Her eyes widened, as Gai continued, "…Tch. Hopes, dreams, justice…What utter nonsense. It's not my problem you're in trouble, got that? If you want some help, then go find someone else. It's none of my concern." The young woman retorted, "Is this…is this because we've just met? I bet, you'd stick your neck out for someone unconditionally if you cared about them!" Heh. He could use this situation to his advantage; these thoughts ran through his head as he examined her, leering at her suggestively. "…I think we can have a deal. Reward me- physically." These words caused the woman to deliver a hefty-handed slap directed at Gai Nagareboshi's face, making him wince while taking two steps back. "Y-You sicko! How could you trivialize the fate of this world for the sake of something like that!? I thought you were supposed to be a hero—" "I really don't recall ever calling myself a hero- nor do I give a damn about justice. I've always only fought for the people I believe in- everyone else can go to hell for all I care. Not my problem if there's some sort of menace out there- if it threatens my friends or appears in front of me, I'll destroy it. So why don't you just get out of my sight if you're not willing to pay me?" Gai retorted, his words as sharp as a knife. He really had no intent of assisting this woman otherwise. The woman yelled back, "You're not getting it! If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You need to push your horizons out as far as they'll go. Isn't that a credible reason!?" Gai crossed his arms, smirking in response, "…Tch. Look. I've got my values, so you can keep yours, alright?" "The nerve of him!" The woman thought to herself, as she slapped the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid once again- this blow packed more force than the previous one. "I can't believe you! How could someone be so cold-hearted!? So, just because you're not interested, you're perfectly content to allow Soul Society to be destroyed!?" Gai nodded slightly, confirming her fears. What was he, anyway? He wasn't a hero, nor an antihero. It seemed as if he was neither good nor evil- more a neutral force that only stepped up whenever someone dear to them was threatened. Tears welled up in her eyes- was there really no hope? Not willing to hear any more of Gai's apathy, the young woman ran off, as Gai turned away.
