  • Reverend William Blackmore (12 September 1850 - 2 January 1927) was a Church of England clergyman. Born in Bristol, he was educated at Bristol Grammar School and Christ's College, Cambridge, graduating BA in 1874 and MA in 1877. He was ordained a deacon in 1875 and as a priest in 1877. From 1874-77 he was a school master in Windsor. He held curacies in Berkshire and Cornwall from 1877-86. In 1886 he came to London as curate of of St Mildred with St Augustine, Lee. He was appointed vicar of of St Augustine, Grove Park from 1892-1902. Mention here [1]

He was appointed vicar of of St Augustine, Grove Park from 1892-1902. In October 1889 he became a member of the London School Board as one of the representatives of Greenwich. He was re-elected twice, remaining a member of the board until 1897. In 1902 left London, becoming Vicar of St Austell, Cornwall. He retired in 1910 and returned to live in London.
