  • The Andalites are an advanced race of centaur-like aliens. They are the primary race fighting the Yeerks and are known throughout the galaxy for their advanced technology.
  • The Andalites (ǎn-dǎ-līt) are a fictional alien race of grazers in the Scholastic book series (and television adaptation of the same name) Animorphs.
  • Andalites are sapient, centaur-esque creatures. The Andalite's body structure consists of a nearly human top half and horse-like bottom half, textured by blue fur. In addition to this, their tails resemble those of Earth scorpions, with a sharp, knifelike point. Andalite culture has developed a relatively benign but irritating form of racial arrogance, that stems from the fact they're the most advanced race visibly active in this part of the galaxy. They have difficulty grasping that other races might be more advanced, even in just one area of development, and often become gruff or condescending when confronted with this. They are of course very smug when engaging with more 'primitive' races and find it difficult to hide their disdain for, or amusement at, another species' primitive techno
  • The Andalites are an organic alien species. They appear to be highly advanced technologically, most notable amongst their scientific achievements is their "morphing" technology. Said technology allows them to take up the forms of other organics by acquiring their genetic material through touch. It can also be used to bestow upon humans the same ability, making them become Animorphs, allies to the Andalites in the war against the Yeerk Empire. Little else is known about the Andalite species, though it is implied that it is difficult for a Yeerk to infest an Andalite, as there is only one known infested Andalite having ever been known to exist.

In an odd reversal, some Andalites consider books to be superior to computers, with the ease and instant access they provide to their contents, without having to search through programs and files on a computer interface.
