(TOS: "Mirror, Mirror") Following this mission, Uhura and the party were ordered not to reveal any information about the crossover to the crew, yet the majority of the crew seemed to know about it after a few weeks. Following Kirk's assassination, Uhura continued to serve as communications officer under Spock. However, as Spock began to instigate his plans to reform the Terran Empire, Uhura, Leonard McCoy and Montgomery Scott began to conspire to remove Spock from command, however Uhura became quite vocal about her plans to assassinate Spock and she was summarily killed by Spock using the Tantalus field.
