It was during the Xen'Chi counter-offensive to these bold strikes that Solara's mother was killed, sacrificing herself so that her husband, Rahl, would see their daughter become a renown Mandalorian supercommando. Solara was devastated at the loss of her mother, and though she is only within the initial stages formal Mandalorian training, her talents have been honed from years of experience drawn from parents that offered a diverse range of skill sets. Now, 20, she seeks to prove herself and earn her right to wear a set of the vaunted Mandalorian Armor. Among her various skill sets passed on by her mother are hunting and tracking, whether it be sentient or not-- as well as a strong sense of self-reliance. Although not unable to work with others, Solara's upbringing has caused her to be very independent. Her father taught her in the use of knives, as well as close quarters combat-- but his main focus was in using and maintaining blaster pistols. Even by age 12, Solara could pick the wings off a fly from 20 meters, and one of her favorite pastimes has always been customizing pistols for herself and anyone willing to spend a few credits. Most of her time now is spent in the wilderness or on bounty missions with her father, honing her skills and fashioning her body and mind into an effective instrument to prove her worth to not only her mother, but her Mandalorian brothers and sisters.
