A new room had been added a hundred years ago, to accomodate the two newest additions to the Kaburagi/Nagareboshi extended family (plus Fumiko and Zakura!). "Uhhhmmm..." Aoi moaned in her sleep at the heckling, not wanting to wake up. "Sleepy time..." "Aoi, sweetie, wake up." Rika lightly shook his daughter, which caused her eyes to open. "Bright...morning..." She murmured in her half sentences. "Too bright..." "Fumiko!" Rika hissed.

  • The Kaburagi household, in the middle of a large forest. With a room of bright pink. Yes, a totally non-conspicuous house. And inside, a bustling, average "family". A new room had been added a hundred years ago, to accomodate the two newest additions to the Kaburagi/Nagareboshi extended family (plus Fumiko and Zakura!). In this new room, two young girls slept away in their bed, their adorable faces easily cuter with sleep on it. However, they wouldn't stay asleep for long, as their "mother" opened the door and walked in. Rika Ichikawa, "mother" of two, and happily in a relationship with Kachihi, Fumiko, and Kasumi, was looking almost drowsy as he went to wake up his children. He gently shook them, the one with longer hair was the first to awaken. Slowly, a sleepy figure opened their eyes. Possessing hip-length brown hair and azure eyes, Momoiro Amagase jerked upright, as if yanked by a puppeteer's string. "...H-Huh? Wait, what?" To be honest, she couldn't remember that dream last night. It was like something from a fantasy story or a manga or something. ...Eh, it didn't matter. As if by instinct, Momoiro poked at Aoi's small arm, heckling, "Wake up, wake up." "Uhhhmmm..." Aoi moaned in her sleep at the heckling, not wanting to wake up. "Sleepy time..." "Aoi, sweetie, wake up." Rika lightly shook his daughter, which caused her eyes to open. "Bright...morning..." She murmured in her half sentences. "Too bright..." Momoiro, of course hid under the sheets, howling in horror, "NATURAL LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! IT BUUUUUUUURNS!" It was like as if she were a vampire or something- at least she didn't sparkle like damn. "Light. Burns." Aoi winced. Rika chuckled. "C'mon you two, it's time for you guys to get dressed, breakfast is ready and your father is as difficult as ever." Throwing back the snow-white sheets, Momoiro hopped out of bed, gazing at her small, lithe figure. Twirling around for a moment, the young girl quickly dressed herself, before walking downstairs; there, she noticed Yuuki attempting to cook; which was hindered by Zakura feeling Yuuki's figure all the while. ...Huh. Such an awkward sight. She could've sworn she heard; "Dammit, not now Zakura..." Aoi was slower, as she was sleepier than her sister. She desceded the stairs, dressed her in normal outfit, rubbing her eyes. Rika walked over to Zakura, placing an Ofuda seal on his forehead, and watched as his body froze. "Please mind what you do while my children, your grandchildren mind you, are in the room." Zakura sighed, "...Ah, well. Damn censors- always ruining the good stuff." Momoiro, being curious as ever approached Yuuki, poking at her innoceously. "...So, what's for breakfast grandma?" Upon being referred to as 'grandma', Yuuki growled, responding while gritting her teeth, "...Why, bacon and eggs. Your...biological grandmother...used to love it...Well, when it wasn't cooked by me. I have no idea why; maybe it's because he accused me of poisoning it." "Poison..." Aoi murmured, trying to get a look at the stove, but she was too short. "Bad..." Rika sighed and walked over to the stairs. "Kachihi! Fumiko! Get up, it's morning!" He called up into the staircase. Kachihi growled. "...Dammit, it's too early." Slowly, he stood to his feet; leaving his partner and walking downstairs; to which Momoiro diverted her attention from Yuuki and ran towards him, leaping into a hug which knocked him on his arse. Aoi tugged on his sleeve, her own quiet way of showing affection to her father. Rika smiled. "That is a rather nice sight to see in the morning." Kachihi sighed while scratching his head, "...Still, I can't but help but think that such peacefullness will be disturbed soon. God-DAMN I hate when that crap happens..." Yuuki tousled his hair lightly, responding, "...I think, if something does happen, we'll destroy it, pretend it didn't happen, and continue on living out our happy family like always." "Same 'ol, same 'ol then." Fumiko said as he descended the stairs. "Holy shit, Yuuki-san is cooking!" Cue a smack from Rika due to the use of the word "shit" while Aoi and Momoiro were present. "Should we all begin writing our Last Will and Testament?" Yuuki growled. "...You know, kids should be seen and not heard." Yuuki was a good cook- though the poisoning incidents caused her to never live it down. "...Anyways, who's gonna say grace?" Kachihi remarked, "Good bread, good meat, good GOD let's eat." Rika went about ladling food onto his children's plates, and, despite the fact that the twins could easily do it themselves, cutting the meat he'd placed on their plates, like any overbearing parent does. "I think my parents used to do that for me." Fumiko said, reminiscing. "Oh, wait, that was my skin." Kachihi froze up at such a notion, remarking, "...I swear Fumiko; if I find your parents, I am going to to deal out every punishment you dealed unto them. No child deserves to be treated like that; especially by their parents." For once, his lax expression had dissipated, giving rise to a gaze of utmost seriousness. "...I think it'd be best if we held off parental issues here. We don't want angst coming out of the waterworks here- happy family, remember? Smile, dammit!" Zakura remarked while tearing into a stack of bacon. "Kachihi, that's sweet." Fumiko replied, smiling at the man(?) he loved. "But, you know what my species eats. What do you think was my first meal?" Kachihi paused for a moment, responding in a dejected tone, "...Well, there goes my plan. I had a woodchipper and everything. We could imitate that scene in Fargo..." Yuuki appeared somewhat nervous; causing Zakura to motion to her, "...Hey, Modigliani-ki? You look, pale." Yuuki responded yet again, "Z-Zakura...I think it's slipping." Zakura nodded in understanding as Yuuki gazed down in shock, remembering something from ages past. Standing over somebody she completely totalled, tearing out their eyes and breaking apart their head, she casually brushed off some dust and placed the deceased man's brain on her head, cackling maniacally, "I'M MISS BRAIN HAT!" Motioning to Yuuki while holding his arm out, Zakura mentioned, "You look like you've been craving blood for a long time now. I'm sorry I didn't notice it before. So, I'll be with you until you've had your fill. That is, the role of a Master to a Familiar after all, Yuuki." With that, Yuuki Kaburagi happily latched onto Zakura's finger; her fangs biting into his snow-white skin and drawing blood which she lapped up without any hesitation. Kachihi also appeared nervous; as if he felt as if he revealed this small bit of information, such a peaceful scene would be thrown out the window, giving away to pure chaos. Every time he began to open his mouth, he shut it, worried about the effect it would have on their seemingly happy family. "...Yuuki, I need to tell you something. We're...we're moving away soon. We have it planned." Yuuki's eyes became grey and listless; dull husks of their former shelves. Emotionlessly, she stood up, responding bluntly while not allowing her smile to slip, "...Very well. Excuse me." before leaving in a huff. All the while, Zakura applied his palm to his forehead in exasperation, remarking, "...Dammit, you have no idea how stupid that was." Kachihi retorted, "...I don't care how stupid it sounded. It's about time we grew up. Can't be living with you all the time." Sometimes, Kachihi Amagase deserved a good ol' smack across the back of the head to get him to think straight. "That decision was never unanimous..." Fumiko murmured. "I told you I didn't want to Kachihi..." "I think it'd be a good idea to raise the kids farther away from here." Rika said, liking the idea of getting her children away from their grandfather. Kachihi looked down, as if gazing at his navel. Now, he was thinking this wasn't a good idea- not in the slightest. If not for Yuuki's sanity, moreso for the fact that they'd all miss each other. "...I'm...I'm not sure anymore." Kachihi could imagine Gai mocking the shit out of him for this; "You're the whiny brat who's going to inherit my family name?! I really can't deal with the shame, the cold hard fact that I birthed such a wispy, screeching abomination. I can't claim you, you sawed-off, pasty, fish faced banging bastard as my son. Every time that I look at you, you waste of space, I wonder what sin I committed to blight the world with such a blitheringly stupid creature instead of the son I always wanted; you're the world's greatest argument for partial-birth abortions!" "...Alright. We need to discuss this more. No more 'from now on, all your opinions are rejected bullcrap. What does EVERYONE think?" Kachihi asked everyone. "I flat-out refuse." Fumiko snapped. "Yuuki-san took me in, she's our mother for God's sake, it'd be poor taste to up and leave her. She loves us to death." "I don't wanna..." Aoi murmured sadly. "I like it here..." Kachihi sighed. "...Alright. I suppose I was in the wrong here. Now, we'll wait for Yuuki to calm down." Zakura growled, "...Which will, be a while, I suppose. She loves you all so much if you'd leave she'd kill us all then kill herself." "I wanna help..." Aoi slid out of her seat, and, before anyone could object, pulled her sister by the hand, leading her up to their grandmother's room where she had fled to. Then she opened the door without so much as a knock. Yuuki swiveled around, lamenting, "Oh...it's you two. Sorry, sweeties, I'm not in a terrific mood right now. Could you please give me some alone time-" Momoiro gripped Yuuki's hand, responding brashly, "Hell, no. My dad...he's a darn idiot at times. Let me apologize for him. We're not moving- if we have to, we'll stay here with you, got that? ...'Cides, you make the best waffles." "Not moving..." Aoi smiled, tugging on her grandmother's sleeve. "We love it here...don't wanna go..." Yuuki smiled sincerely, patting Aoi and Momoiro on the heads gently before pulling them both into an embrace tenderly. "...Both of you...thank you." Momoiro could feel Yuuki's tears reaching her cheeks; causing the young girl to respond, "...Come on, let's go sort this out." Back downstairs, Fumiko was twidlling his fingers. "So...think she offed them yet?" "Fumiko!" Rika hissed. Kachihi remarked, "...She doesn't harm kids. Midgets on the other hand..." As Yuuki approached Kachihi, she possessed a grim look plastered upon her face as she inquired, "...Kachihi. If you want to, it's your decision to leave or not. I won't stop you." Though she secretly thought to herself she'd butcher them all and then kill herself if he ever did. Kachihi sighed, "...I won't leave. It was a jackass remark, okay? I'm sorry for it-" Before he could finish, Yuuki pulled him into a bone-crushing embrace, squealing, "Oh, thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!" "I told you." Fumiko said, smiling. "Yuuki-san, I did tell him. I don't want to leave you, especially after how nice you've treated us over the centuries." "I guess we'll have to keep the kids around here..." Rika murmured to himself. Yuuki growled for a moment in irritation, responding, "...I heard that, Rika." Zakura off-handedly remarked to Kachihi, "Your idea was bad and you should feel bad for it, Kachihi." "Don't pick on him." Fumiko chastised his "father". What a weird relationships this family had. "Which reminds me, where's Kasumi?" Rika asked, looking around. "Did you scare from from our bed Fumiko?" "Hey, don't blame me!" Zakura responded to Fumiko's comment, "You should know better than to even think of pissing Yuuki off. Why do you think I'm missing my pinky?" Meanwhile, Kasumi Kaburagi, was...readying a picnic basket right in front of their eyes, gathering everything in a nondiscreet way...yet somehow, he was treated like a goddamn ninja. "W-when did he get here!?" Fumiko gasped, nearly falling out of his chair. "Five minutes ago..." Aoi replied even though the question was most likely rhetorical. "Why didn't you tell us!?" "No one asked..." Kasumi looked up, responding bluntly with an emotionless tone, "...So I'm really not that notable; just like Gunha. We're going for a picnic in a moment. So get ready." "It's not that!" Fumiko insisted. "Kachihi caused some drama, and we had to settle it, so, we wouldn't have noticed if a full-on meteor had come through the door." "I would have..." Aoi murmured. Kasumi continued coldly, "...That's because Aoi has a sixth sense; like a goddamn psychic. Or a boss, whatever." Kasumi remarked to Kachihi, "Then you should stop even think of jeapordizing our relationships." Kachihi snapped, "O-Oi, I thought it was..." He gazed back at Yuuki for a moment who still appeared rather put off, before leaning in and whispering in Kasumi's ear, "We'll talk about this later, understand?" Zakura murmured to Kachihi, "This situation..it's like sticking your wang in pudding. Word from the wise; never stick your wang in a pudding. It might still be good pudding and you can spend all afterrnon explaining that to people but no one's still going to eat it because you stuck your wang in it." Holding up a bowl of pudding which he packed into the picnic basket, he finished, "Oh, by the way, we're bringing along pudding." "The kids aren't eating it." Rika said firmly. And that was all and well, since he didn't know what Zakura had done to that pudding. He'd let Yuuki come at him with her rusty knife before he so much as let his kids near the pudding. "I don't like chocolate..." Aoi murmured, which basically made it easier for her mother to keep her away from the pudding. "I'll eat it!" Fumiko chirped brightly. Zakura remarked, "Geez, it was just a metaphor. ...Or was it?" He clasped his hands evilly while cackling, before finishing, "Yeah, just a metaphor. Don't put too much thought into it. ...Nobody likes chocolate except Yuuki." As Kasumi and Kachihi were squabbling, Yuuki quickly left and reappeared, now properly dressed for such an occasion in a jet-black dress which reached down to his thighs, and wooden sandals with red straps. "...Alright, so let's go, shall we?" She stated while clasping her hands with a smile.
