The curriculum encourages the pupils to develop their problem solving and thinking skills. The classroom provides numerous activities which provide exciting opportunities for children and foster an environment that develops an appreciation for books, love of reading and appreciation of arts and music. The grade school curriculum provides students with the basic skills necessary to move to high school. Students acquire and apply these basic skills to provide a strong foundation for secondary education, and to make them responsible and productive citizens. Students learn competencies which include thinking and reasoning skills, the basic content and process knowledge provided within the core curriculum - English language arts and reading, mathematics, science and Filipino and the components of Makabayan and agricultural arts education. The curriculum provides opportunities for the students to develop self-expression, to learn to communicate effectively, to maintain and develop both physical and emotional health, to become an active participant in the process and to value the importance of agricultural arts. To help student develop these competencies and become responsible, productive citizens who have a sense of personal fulfillment, the curriculum rests on commonly accepted principles of learning as prescribed by the Depratment of Education. First among these principles is the importance of integrating the curriculum - of emphasizing the understanding of concepts and processes over the mere acquisition of isolated facts. Stressing the mastery of integrated knowledge helps students move from what is known to an understanding of the unknown, to see relationships and patterns and to begin the make generalizations, to understand the interrelatedness of the subject areas and skills areas, and to succeed in learning. The basic curriculum is a program of continuous learning based upon the individual student's needs, interests, and stages of development. Learnees are more likely to attempt those tasks at which they feel they can succeed, and which are relevant to their lives. The High School division aims to develop and enhance the total development of its students and to inculcate the virtues of concern and service to the country and fellowmen. It pursues an educational philosophy that gives emphasis to the experiences of the students. With agricultural arts as the core, it provides an education that prepares its graduates for college life and opportunities for independent living.
