  • Flag of the Adyghe SSR
rdfs:comment
  • The most modern flag of the Adyghe SSR was adopted on 5 April, 1951. The blue to the left of the field was intended to represent the Black Sea. It had a ratio of 1:2. From 1936 to the adoption of the new flag, the flag consisted of the words Адыгэ ССР to the right and slightly above the star and hammer/sickle. The oldest Soviet flag in the Adyghe SSR's history contains, simply, the Cyrillic letters АССР, adopted in 1922.
