| HistoryText | - Happy the Horse first appeared to the character Nick Sax as he lay in a mob owned hospital bed. Because of his injuries, Nick was temporarily indisposed. While he was coming to Happy reveals that he is the only person that can see, hear, or interact with him. At first, Nick just thinks that Happy is a hallucination but the invaluable help that Happy provides literally saves his life. Happy not only acts as a lookout for Nick but also helps him find his way out of the hospital and into an escape vehicle.
In issue two of the series, Happy reveals that he is the imaginary friend of a child named who has been kidnapped by a man dressed in a Santa outfit. Happy also reveals that Nick is the only one that can help and that's why he appeared to him in the hospital and helped him on his personal "errands." He does this in an attempt to get Nick to help him find the little child who created him as it turns out that Nick isn't really interested in helping anybody out.
