He refused to engage the Separatists head on, instead he fought a gurrelia war against both sides. It was only when Verona herself appeared on the scene that he decided to act and he ordered his fleet forward. Unknown to him, Verona had taken control of the Jedi Arthas Mentallis and had ordered him to destroy the Might of the Sith, even as Darlak's fleet advanced.
