| Description | - We know a little about the interaction between Mimics and fungus: The Mimics are carriers of Spores from the fungus, which you of course know are carried in their stomachs and remain intact even after the Mimic combusts. The reason we use them as currency here in Nidaria is to rid the ground of as many of the spores as we can, else they would grow into even more fungus.

Strangely enough, I've heard of another type of Mimic that seems be [sic] growing fungus right on its back! The Molecreep in the Ridgeback Highlands is covered in these fungus-like growths, and I'd like to find out if these are actually clusters of fungus, or if they are just designed to resemble those mushrooms. This is very exciting, -Player-! The fungus growing on the Molecreep's back seems to be another strange symbiotic relationship between Mimics and the Haze-producing fungus. Whereas most Mimics help spread fungus by collecting Spores, these Molecreeps are indeed carrying already-grown fungus to new locations right on their backs.
What does the Molecreep get out of this arrangement though? Perhaps the fungus on its back also creates Spores those [sic] are also known to be left behind by combusting Molecreeps - though the Mimics don't seem to digest the Spores, so they can't actually be food for them. It's difficult to say, but at least we can see the benefits to the fungus.
