His regency was interrupted several times by the republics that formed on Darnussian territory. In the election held in 4118 Cedrik's party the DDP finally managed to secure an absolute majority in the parliament and installed him as king. Before this the DDP had got rid of most opposition parties in Darnussia. His rule was unquestionned in the country. After the restoration of the republic he was dethroned again. He lived his last years in private and died at the age of 92.
