BenSem is supported by his band- childhood friend and guitarist Pete Rawbone, a creative back bone for Sems in his long years of song writing. The band is completed with musicians Ade Jones on bass and Kev Cook on drums. Together the unit that is BenSem has been creating a stir in the music scene with high-sights set for the future. Soon everyone will hear the deep songs and unique sound of BenSem. "There are so many bands out there at the moment and in my personal opinion I think people have forgotten the meaning of music, a man, a band standing on the stage telling a story. Hoping that the words touch at least one person in the crowd standing before them, that is what BenSem is about” These are the words of Sem the frontman of BenSem. This of course is yet to be seen truly, as the album titled Western Lights is due for release next June 2008. Western Lights will show that BenSem have the ability and talent to remind people what music is all about. Its not about the clothes you wear or what you do, or the latest trends, its about the music, and how it makes you feel. 2007 and 2008 hold exciting times for BenSem whether it be recording their first album, supporting Air Traffic, or that they just recorded their first single for Western Lights with Greg Haver who has produced the likes of the Manic Street Preachers and Melanie C, or even that they are in the middle of filming a documentary for ITV. Lots going on, but the boys have not forgotten where it all started and why.
