  • Bahar Tambai is a young Sudanese girl who appeared in Saviors (episode). She was a South Sudan villager, and had previously been acquainted with Dr. David Woods as well as Jeanne Benoit, the co-founders of the International Doctor's Group in 2012. In 2015, during a routine surgery for various villagers, the makeshift hospital was raided by militant members of the Shilluk tribe that were led by General Ajak Gadet, with her being told to hide by Lieutenant Elizabeth Cortland. While hiding, she witnessed nearly everyone in the hospital, including her mother, Nefy, murdered by the soldiers, as well as Dr. Woods and Ensign Joni Ryan being abducted by the soldiers. For several days since then, she proceeded to keep hidden when hearing voices, also keeping a machete that one of the soldiers dropped around as a means to defend herself if discovered. When NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee investigated a closet while trying to find leads on where they may have gone, Bahar drew the machete on him and warned him to stay back, although she lowered her guard when she recognized Jeanne among the group and she told them to stand down. She then relayed what she had witnessed, and, deeply traumatized by the events of the raid, expressed her doubts that Woods and Benoit had survived.
