In 2362, Doctor Almieri joined the archaeological dig at Drura Sextus, the first and only class M planet with evidence of ancient Tholian settlements. On the dig with her were Livilla Darly and Preston Strong. During this mission, the team discovered ancient Tholian writings, in the form of crystal-lattices, describing genetically engineered shapeshifters. Almieri was apparently able to use this found technology to secretly resurrect her son Jonathan. At some point (likely after 2367, the last time Almieri and her daughter spoke directly), the team abandoned Drura Sextus, though they continued to receive approvals and funding for whatever project they were working on. (SCE eBook: Oaths) In 2377, Almieri returned to Earth, where she kept an apartment in Washington, DC, and an office at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco. She was to have been reunited with her daughter Elizabeth, who was pregnant with her first child. However, Almieri was murdered by one of the metamorphs she had been working with over the past several years.
