- This weapon is slightly better than a Rune mace, with an additional +2 for Stab, Slash, and Crush Attack; +2 Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic and Ranged Defence; +2 Strength; +2 Prayer; and +8 Magic Attack. This makes it one of the only melee weapons in game to have a positive ranged defence bonus, other than the Red topaz machete and Lunar staff, with +1, and the dragon spear and Zamorakian spear, with +5 and +13, respectively. To cast Claws of Guthix, the player still must have cast the spell 100 times in the Wilderness Mage Arena. Note that the Void Knight mace does not count towards the four pieces needed for the void set effect.
- There is currently only one way to obtain the Void knight mace. To obtain it, a player must purchase it from Soulsplit's Credit Shop for 899 CR. Players may type ::shop when in-game to access the Credit Shop.
