  • The Hospital Receptionist was manning the front desk of the Accident & Emergency department at Weatherfield General in January 2006 when Fred Elliott had taken his son Ashley Peacock in for treatment having cut his finger while at work in the butchers. While Ashley was being tended to, Fred went to wait outside and just as he lit up a cigarette, he was shocked to see a badly-beaten Stacy Hilton being taken into the department by paramedics. Fred quickly went back inside to enquire about Stacy's condition, but the receptionist, professional in manner, told him that no confidential patient information could be given out - except to close relatives. As a tongue-tied Fred tried to ascertain where patients with serious injuries would be taken, Ashley had overhead his query, having been discharged from the treatment room and amused at Fred's concern, jovially explained that the injury to his finger had only required three stitches.
