Après une nuit de réparation, War Pig était opérationnel et assisté l'unité du Lieutenant Vasquez à travers la ville. Il a détruit plusieurs postes dans des bâtiments protégés. Vers la fin de l'engagement, un T-72 a menacé plusieurs Marines dans un immeuble délabré. War Pig détruisit le T-72 et fut applaudis des Marines. On ignore si War Pig a été pris dans l'explosion nucléaire qui a suivi. Toutefois, les chars qui ne ont pas été pris dans le souffle de l'explosion sont susceptibles d'avoir survécu avec les défenses du char contre le nucléaire.

Aelian confirmed that elephants were frightened by squealing pigs (and rams with horns), and reported that the Romans exploited squealing pigs (and rams) to repel the war elephants of Pyrrhus in 275 BC. Procopius, in History of the Wars, records that the defenders of Edessa suspended a squealing pig from the walls to frighten away Khosrau's single siege elephant in the sixth century AD. Historical accounts of incendiary pigs or flaming pigs were recorded by the military writer Polyaenus and by Aelian.
