  • Barnstars are decorative awards that are given to users to thank them for editing and article or reverting vandalism, they are oftenly 5 pointed but also sometimes in a wagon wheel style which is to adorn a barn. Barnstars characteristics, such as border, background colour, text colour, text and image can be altered depending on the purpose of gifting a user one. Here is an example of a barnstar; This is an award given for signing a guest book.
  • Awards of barnstars are patterned after awards of Ninjastars in Uncyclopedia. Namely, authors who have advanced beyond the level of actually doing stuff and now simply tell other people how to do stuff give out Ninjastars to tell those poor scrubbers that they followed directions correctly, and may have contributed to a high-quality web site. An article that especially insults Uncyclopedians may receive the coveted Purple Barnstar (pictured).
  • Barnstars are awards given on the Wiki for someone you want to give recognition—for putting hard work, doing something that really needed to be done, or just making the wiki a better place to be. The concept of the barnstar as a Wiki award was created by Sunir Shah on MeatballWiki, for "barn raising": doing great work to help build the community. There's no official procedure for determining who gets a barnstar. Just be bold and give one to someone you think deserves one.

Can't find one that says what you want to say or looks like what you want it to look like? Make up your own and list it on this page! (It might be nice to have some World Wikia-specific awards...)
The problem with barnstars is that there is no pretense that Wikipedia is a high-quality web site. Nevertheless, barnstars may be awarded to users for creating articles with the following attributes: * Tables coded so tediously that any effort to bring them up-to-date will break the formatting. * Photographs featuring naked penises and other Not-Safe-For-Work images, in the name of "defense of Art." * The ability to bore a normal reader to sleep. * Insinuating political bias as though it were objective fact. Everyone who disagrees with me is either ignorant or demented. An article that especially insults Uncyclopedians may receive the coveted Purple Barnstar (pictured).
