It dissolved in 3055 ABY in the Democratic Revolution. The Imperial Hierarchy was divided into four types of clans. The most powerful was the Imperial Clan, who controlled the entire Empire. The second most powerful were the five Royal Clans, who ruled one named sector. The second least powerful were the twenty five Lordship Clans, who ruled named provinces. And the least powerful were the one hundred twenty five Nobility Clans, who ruled states named by the Emperor. The High Council had five men, all of them Dark Jedi. The Commander in Chief was the Prime Minister, the supreme ruler of the military and the parliament. The three lower members were the Premier, the President and the Chancellor. The Premier was the leader of the Imperial Congress. The President was the leader of the Imperial Senate. And the Chancellor was the head of the Imperial Court. The lowest ranking member was the Grand Admiral, who was in charge of enforcing order among the citizens. The Parliament was the least powerful and by far the largest of the three sections. The Imperial Congress was in charge of Passing laws to ensure security while the Imperial Senate was responsible for keeping order. The Imperial Court confirmed the Imperial Hierarchy's final decisions and gave all convicts the penalties they legally deserved. The Military was divided into five branches. The largest was the Imperial Army. They were used primarily for ground combat. The Imperial Navy was used for space combat. The smaller branch, the Imperial Guard were police. The Imperial Air Force was used for areal incursions. The most skilled of the military was the Imperial Marine Corps, who were trained and skilled in all forms of combat. And the smallest but most skilled branch of the military was the Imperial Knight Branch, who were Force sensitive and were appointed after a lifetime of training.
