During the party, Von Haug escaped and incited a prison break. McClane, doing what he does best, was quick to jump into action and fight the escaped convicts. However, all was not as it seemed. Hoffman, Sinclair and Goshkin had all planned the jail break in a scheme to control Las Vegas. When McClane found this out, he became determined to hunt them down. Goshkin was at the Hoover Dam outside of Vegas with the plan to infect Vegas with virus attached to a bomb that will be released to the water supply. She was confronted by McClane at the dam and engaged him in an explosive shootout, which culminated in Goshkin being launched through a window to her death.
