| abstract | - Mayor Luke Ravenstahl tapped a veteran software developer as assistant director of the City Information Systems department. Tajuana Stephenson will start her job Aug. 4, 2008, when she takes over for outgoing assistant director Trudy Williams, who has accepted a job as assistant provost at Point Park University. Stephenson has worked for the city since 1987. She has performed management, training and Web site-related duties, according to announcement Ravenstahl's office. Her most recent work has been to streamline the technical aspects of the city's building code enforcement and permitting functions. Stephenson has a master's degree in public policy from Carnegie Mellon University. The assistant director position pays $71,084 a year, according to city records. As a software development manager, Tajuana makes $60,607 a year. Stephenson will work under City Information Services Director Howard Stern.
