| abstract | - The proud leader of the Guardians, LEADER-1 would give his life in an instant to save a single human. He combats the Renegades wherever they strike, protecting Earth as best he can from their destruction. He aches to return to Gobotron, but will remain on Earth until it is safe. He is beloved by his troops, and feared by his enemies. In robot mode, LEADER-1 can fire powerful energy blasts from his fists, capable of melting down Decepticons in seconds. In F-15 Eagle mode, he can travel at speeds greater than Mach 2.5 in high altitude, and is armed with an M61A1 Gatling gun and an array of missiles. In both modes he can project a powerful force field, although it rapidly drains his power reserves. He is a superior tactical fighter, skilled in aerial combat as well as air-to-ground destruction. His only true rival in terms of battlefield prowess is the accursed Cy-Kill, leader of the Renegades.
