The cursebreakers acquired a copy of the old private ledgers of House Vel, and learned the following:
* The ledger shows costs and income for materials, services, and trade, and starts in 842. The last page of entries are all on the same day.
* c. 900, the House's fortune's take a dip for the worse - income goes down, costs go up. This lasts until for ~15 years, then recovers and grows. Until 951. At that point, the House's fortunes begin their catastrophic slide. The last entries indicate that the House was essentially fined into oblivion by the Queen.
* Certain resources - property, funds, etc - where not paid for fines, though it appears they should have been. They were instead transferred to "House Phoenix". There are earlier, regular transfers to House Phoenix as well. The downturns both begin with large outgoing entries labelled "For services to House Delarosa."
