  • Anticlea Sakaros was the female Sith pureblood daughter of Nagarian and Velia Sakaros. Anticlea was born on Andaria when the world was in the midst of civil war. When she was only a few months old, her parents were executed by a squad of Nationalist Guardsmen, accompanied by her oldest brother, Velian. In the aftermath of the executions, Tak, the middle Sakaros child, killed Velian and escaped with Anticlea, making his way to a rebel outpost. Tak trained as a demolitions expert with the rebels, and he and several sympathetic rebels collaborated to raise Anticlea as well as they could. Too young to remember the early traumas of her life, Anticlea responded to Tak's love and the affection of the other rebels, especially Tak's friends Barreck and Ilyana. She often painted pictures for her friends in the rebel camps, and took to their constant relocations without complaint. Anticlea wore a golden ring on a necklace, a gift from Ilyana. In 71 BBY, Anticlea ventured out of the rebel camp to meet Tak as he came home from a patrol. Spotting him across a clearing, she ran to meet him, but was herself spotted by a Nationalist soldier. The soldier opened fire, mortally wounding Anticlea. Tak beat the man to death with his own rifle, but Anticlea died in Tak's arms. Anticlea's death started Tak on the road to the dark side of the Force; he succumbed to bloodlust immediate after, massacring forty-two other Nationalists, and in the months after was cold and aloof. He spoke of his sister rarely and only to family and close friends, but wore her gold ring (usually under a glove) for the rest of his life.
