rdfs:comment
  • Lethality is a rogue talent from the Below the Belt tree in Dragon Age: Origins.
  • Whenever you successfully hit, you deal increased damage. * Passive * AP Cost : 16 * Whenever you hit, you gain a single stack of a beneficial effect that increases all damage dealt by 1% per stack for 10 seconds. This effect can stack up to 10 times. Whenever you glance, all stacks are removed.
  • Lethality or deadliness is how capable something is of causing death. Most often it is used when referring to chemical weapons, biological weapons, or their chemical components. The use of this term denotes the ability of these weapons to kill, but also the possibility that they may not kill. Reasons for the lethality of a weapon to be inconsistent, or expressed by percentage, can be as varied as minimized exposure to the weapon, previous exposure to the weapon minimizing susceptibility, degradation of the weapon over time and/or distance, and incorrect deployment of a multi-component weapon.
  • Lethality (瞬殺 Shunsatsu lit. Instant Kill in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance; 滅殺 Messatsu lit. Annihilator in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn onwards), also known as Silencer in the English version of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, is a special skill native to the Assassin-related classes. In its various incarnations, activating Lethality will instantly deplete the enemy's health, regardless of the normal battle damage calculations. The potency of this effect is countered by the lowest activation rate of any attacking skill.

abstract
  • Lethality or deadliness is how capable something is of causing death. Most often it is used when referring to chemical weapons, biological weapons, or their chemical components. The use of this term denotes the ability of these weapons to kill, but also the possibility that they may not kill. Reasons for the lethality of a weapon to be inconsistent, or expressed by percentage, can be as varied as minimized exposure to the weapon, previous exposure to the weapon minimizing susceptibility, degradation of the weapon over time and/or distance, and incorrect deployment of a multi-component weapon. This term can also refer to the after-effects of weapon use, such as Nuclear Fallout, which has highest lethality nearest the deployment site, and in proportion to the subject's size and nature; e.g. a child or small animal. Lethality can also refer to the after-effects of a chemical explosion. A lethality curve can be developed for process safety reasons to protect people and equipment. The impact is typically greatest closest to the explosion site and lessens to the outskirts of the impact zone. Pressure, toxicity and location affect the lethality. Lethality is also a term used by microbiologists and food scientists as a measure of the ability of a process to destroy bacteria. Lethality may be determined by enumeration of survivors after incremental exposures.

In its various incarnations, activating Lethality will instantly deplete the enemy's health, regardless of the normal battle damage calculations. The potency of this effect is countered by the lowest activation rate of any attacking skill. In TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga, this skill is known as Blazing Wind (烈風の技 Reppū no waza or Gale in the fan translation). In Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Silencer uses half of the user's critical rate as a percentage. This makes it highly recommended to use Myrmidons as the base unit when creating an Assassin unit in The Sacred Stones, as Myrmidons typically possess high skill stats. It cannot activate against the Fire Dragon or Fomortiis, but can activate against other bosses, although the use of the Iron Rune/Hoplon Guard will prevent it from triggering. In the Japanese version of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Bane is called Shunsatsu, or what is known as Lethality in the earlier games. In Awakening and Fates, if the user battles an enemy with Dragonskin, the skill is disabled. This skill is prioritized first over all other skill-activated attack skills. This is likely because it is the least likely to occur and the most devastating if activated. It can be blocked by Dual Guard and Guard Stance or the enemy can survive if they have Miracle and it activates.
