They are are (if not always) done by IPs and if they are done by User names, they are not sourced, and if there is a source it is to Spongepedia which, by the way, has the same problem with editors adding speculative dates and false information with no source. Where are the active admins of this wikia? I only know of three and they are pretty quick to correct things.
