  • Robot Lover is the third studio album by American recording artist Giselle, which was released on January 9, 2012, by E Records. The album is a follow-up to her successful Distorted Perception (2011), and The Remix (2011). The album is more experimental in sound than her last album, in that it incorperated a wider variety of music genres like noise pop, electro-rock,and orchestrated pieces like Innovation of the Mind. The album is also sonically less refined than her last albums, taking a more gritty and harsher tone.

The album is Giselle's second concept, which speaks of topics such as cyber-bulling, social networking, online love, and technological dependency. Robot Lover is her most experimental yet, as it includes sounds of "technology" with samples of dial-up tones, robots, and other computer noises. The album was a critcal and commerical success, debuting at #1 on the Albums Chart with an excess of 300,000 units and going triple-platinum on April 2012. It was also nominated for a Chaos Award for Best Album at the 2012 Chaos Awards. All singles managed to go top ten on the Digital and Airplay charts (Android, Digital Love (feat. Dominic Brown), and Innovation of the Mind), with Digital Love being the biggist hit reaching number one on the Digital Chart. Thus making Robot Lover Giselle's most successful and consistant album so far. The album has become on of the best selling albums of all time after it went diamond on July 1st, with sales of over 5 million copies.
