Onix uses Iron Tail on the battlefield and stones from the battlefield fly up. Then Onix uses Iron Tail to hit the rocks and smash them at Delphox, with the majority of the stones hitting, causing some damage to Delphox. Ryan: “Hyperbeam!” Ryan: “As fast as you can, use Ember and strengthen it by spinning the attack!” Ryan: “Delphox, this isn’t working!” Ryan (Thinking): “I’ve gotta choose my next Pokemon carefully. It’s only a 2 VS 2, and I won’t have a chance to fix any mistakes.” Ryan (Thinking): “I was hoping to avoid this. Ah well, let’s hope this works!” Lapras: “Lap!” Ryan: “Water Gun!” Grant: Now, Iron Tail! Ryan: “Water Gun once more!” Ryan: “Alright! Good job Lapras!” Ryan: “Right. Only one opponent left, right Grant? I think we might be able to pull through.” Grant: Right. But this isn’t an easy wall to knock down. Tyrunt! Grant: Now, Draco Meteor! Ryan: “Lapras!” Ryan: “Use Water Gun!” Tyrunt uses Crunch towards Lapras. Lapras screams in pain. Ryan: “NO!” Grant: Dragon Tail! Ryan: “Whoa!” Grant: Now, Rock Tomb! Ryan: “That’s enough Delphox, I’m bringing Lapras back!” Ryan: “Sorry about that Lapras.” Ryan: “Water Gun!” Grant: Crunch! Grant: Now Dragon Tail! Ryan: “Now!” Grant: Right, now to use our A-Game. Use Dragon Tail! Grant: Now, Draco Meteor! Ryan: “Water Gun!” Ryan: “‘Return to sender’ Lapras!” Grant: Now, Dragon Tail! Ryan: “Lapras!?” Ryan: “I can’t. Not when you’re in a condition this critical.” He returns Lapras to her Pokeball, and Delphox takes her place. Ryan (thinking): “What can we do!? Tyrunt is too strong! Aw man, I wish I had gone with Froakie instead.” Ryan: “Okay, throw Tyrunt in the air and fire ‘EmberBeam’ at his stomach!” Grant: Good work using Dragon Tail before hitting the battlefield. Now, Crunch! Ryan: “NOW!” He throws out Lapras’ Pokeball. After the Water Type pops out, Delphox backs down. Lapras fires Water Gun at Tyrunt. The Pokemon was too weak to this point, and was thrown backwards, bouncing on the field like a rubber ball. Tyrunt skids to a halt at Grant’s feet, and is finally down. Ryan: “Whew. Thanks Lapras.” Ryan: “Thanks for the battle.” Ryan: “I’ve told all the Gym Leaders this, but I can see you certainly take care of your Pokemon.” Grant: Thanks. Who are you facing next? Ryan: “Eh, I think I’m just going to backtrack and face all the gyms I’ve lost battles at.” Ryan: “Why do I get the feeling I missed something...? Grant, which Gym comes before yours?” Grant: Viola is before me. The next gym over is Korrina in Shalour City. Ryan: “ACK! I came here right after my rematch with Ramos! That’s why I had that feeling! Thanks for the clear-up Grant.” Ryan (Thinking; Smiling): “Better watch out Korrina. I’m coming for you!” Narrator: After arriving in Cyllage City, Ryan challenged Grant again. After a few tense moment, Ryan beat Grant, gaining his third Gym Badge. Now, Ryan, Quilladin and Delphox head off towards Shalour City once more, this time to face Korrina.
