- John Lawrence (b. 15 September 1933) is an illustrator and wood engraver. He engraved the covers and illustrations for Lyra's Oxford, Once Upon a Time in the North, and the game included with the latter, Peril of the Pole.
- Following Turner's commission to do the cover art for the graphic novel reprint of The Dalek Chronicles, Lawrence recognised the renewed interest that the artist and fans would have in a continuation. Lawrence submitted a new page Turner had made during a lull in work to Gary Gillatt, the editor of Doctor Who Magazine. He commissioned the new comic, Return of the Elders, which John Lawrence himself wrote.
