Synopsis
  • http://www.dcindexes.com/indexes/indexes.php?character=7&choice=appearances plot summary from dcindexes.com
  • -- Hugo Strange kidnaps electrical engineer Henry Jenkins, and forces him to design a device that will generate a perpetual fog wherever he requires it. With the fog in place, Strange's men can commit crimes with added stealth and evade police capture.
  • -- Batman eventually tracks Hugo Strange down and battles his men. He rescues Henry Jenkins and destroys the fog generator. Hugo Strange is captured and taken to jail.
  • The Batman arrives too late to stop a drive-by shooting. Before the man perishes, he mutters the words "fog" and "strange". Batman later learns that the victim was a former G-man and that he was referencing the notorious scientific criminal, Professor Hugo Strange.
  • -- A rival group led by Chong also seeks their prize. He briefly captures Slam and tortures him. Moy Ting rescues Slam, then they begin a trek across China. Chong follows them knowing that they will lead him to the object.
  • -- Slam and Moy Ting arrive at a temple. Moy Ting tells Slam that he must retrieve an idol. Chong then appears and attempts to steal the idol for himself. A hidden trap kills Chong, leaving Slam free to retrieve the idol and return it to Ken Fu.
  • Slam and Shorty are hired for a job in China. Ken Fu the leader of the Lan Chee Tong wants Slam to retrieve an object for him, but will not tell Slam what the object is. Guided by Moy Ting, a Chinese woman, Slam and Shorty begin their quest.
