  • Lionel Eugene Hollins (born October 19, 1953) is an American basketball coach and retired professional basketball player. Hollins was drafted 6th overall in the 1975 NBA Draft by the Trail Blazers, playing 10 years in the NBA for the Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, San Diego Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers. Hollins began coaching in 1985 at his alma mater Arizona State. Hollins has served multiple tenures with Memphis Grizzlies as well serving as head coach in the United States Basketball League. In 2014 Hollins was named head coach of the Nets.

Drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with the sixth pick of the 1975 NBA Draft out of Arizona State University, Hollins was bestowed All-Rookie first team honors that season, averaging 10.8 points in 78 games for the Blazers. On April 18th 2007, the Blazers retired his #14 jersey.

He is currently an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks. On April 18th 2007, the Blazers retired his #14 jersey.
