Her film credits include the drama That'll Be the Day (1973) and the action film Billyboy (1979). The following years she appeared on the television series Nobody's Perfect (1980), To Serve Them All My Days (1980), Have I Got You... Where You Want Me (1981), Travelling Man (1984), and Spearfield's Daughter (1986, starring Christopher Plummer) for which she received a Gemini Award nomination for Best Performance by a Lead Actress in a Single Dramatic Program or Mini-Series. Prior to her appearance on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Braden played Marilyn Houston in two episodes of the science fiction television series Alien Nation (1990, with Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint, Michele Scarabelli, Ron Fassler, Armin Shimerman, David Selburg, Bob Minor, Geoffrey Blake, and Thomas Knickerbocker). One of these two episodes was directed by her husband. Further credits include guest parts in episodes of Perry Mason (1991, with Bob Gunton, Conor O'Farrell, and Kate Vernon) and Murder, She Wrote (1992, with Nick Tate and Clement von Franckenstein) and a supporting role in the war drama Silent Cries (1993, with Gail Strickland, Clyde Kusatsu, Nick Tate, and James Saito). Star Trek: Generations is her last known film work.
