HistoryText
  • Born in 2101, Judge Giant, Jnr. is the product of an 'extra-judicial liaison' between Judge Giant, Snr. and a citizen called Adele Dormer, an interior designer. His father was killed during the 'Block Mania' crisis by Orlok, an East-Meg assassin, and his mother was killed in front of him by a street gang. Understandably, this made him prone to outbreaks of violence. Despite these setbacks the young Giant was a promising cadet. While still at the Academy he acquitted himself heroically during the 'Necropolis' incident, actually managing to decapitate Judge Mortis with a hi-ex bullet . Giant was awarded full Judge status by none other than Judge Dredd himself, who had previously helped him to overcome his anger issues. He was fifteen, the youngest cadet ever to have been entered for the final test, and earned his full eagle by shooting Walter the Wobot . One of the Big Meg's finest lawmakers, Judge Giant, Jnr. is an exemplary Judge whom Dredd trusts and who has distinguished himself in a number of crises, not least when he saved the entire planet from a fatal disease. He also appears to be more relaxed and humorous than Dredd .

Notes
  • Writer Al Ewing says: "I really want to do something with Giant – he's Dredd's successor, except he’s human in a way Dredd isn't. He’s not a clone, he grew up with a family. While evidence of Dredd's 'father's' humanity is suppressed by Justice Dept, Giant is living evidence that his Dad had off-regulation emotions. So there's a wealth of story potential there."
