  • The 101st Airborne Division — also known as the "Screaming Eagles"— are a U.S. Army modular infantry division trained for air assault operations. During World War Two, it was renowned for action during the Normandy Landings, Operation Market Garden, and for numerous battles, particularly taking the town of Foy, during the Battle of the Bulge. The division's headquarters are at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is the only U.S. Army division with two aviation brigades.
