  • Judy Matheson (born 1945 in Thurrock, Essex) appeared on Coronation Street in November 1969 as a Casualty Nurse who tended to some of the injured following the coach crash on the way back from the Lake District. After leaving drama school, she began her career with the Bristol Old Vic and toured the United States, Europe and Israel. Thereafter, her acting work was mainly television and film-focussed. In 1981 she became a continuity announcer for TVS and in 1990 she was part of the launch team for British Satellite Broadcasting, later to become BSkyB.
