In 8000 BBY a colony of Jedi fled to this planet for protection from the Sith Empire. They had survived by living underground by a stream and fresh soil. For 200 years the Jedi had lived in harmony from the wrath of the Sith. However, in 7,800 BBY, a new Sith Lord took control of the Empire. A Deskaran named Darth Scarn. His first course of action when taking control was to find and eliminate the Jedi colony. He had sent hundreds of Jedi spies to scout every planet and find where the colony was hiding. The lucky spy that found them was a young female Jedi Knight named Xaurna Tyden. She had covered up as a Jedi escapee who was called to Evacon by the force. When she discovered the the army, hundreds of Sith warriors went to Evacon to face the Jedi. They had easily lured the colony out and cleared them right out including the Master Xuafru and all of the Jedi Masters. Although a small group of renegade Jedi escaped, Scarn emerged victorious. Less than a year later he had created a massive Sith super statue by tearing the mountains off the planets and forming them into a figure that looked like a Sith Lord sitting on a throne. Although it was never completed to perfection, it became a symbol of Sith power and fear on the planet forever.
