Joey was so popular, in fact, that he was included in the holosuite program Bashir 62, a 24th century rendition of 1962. At the time, he was close friends with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Peter Lawford, and was incorporated as a personal friend of Vic Fontaine's. Following the death of Jadzia Dax, Worf often visited Vic's Las Vegas Lounge to hear Vic sing Jadzia's favorite song, "All the Way". After several visits, Vic and his band began to dread Worf's arrival, as the Klingon would usually trash the lounge in a fit of rage before Vic ever finished the song. In early 2375, in an attempt to stall singing "All the Way" for Worf, Vic began to tell him a story about Joey Bishop. Worf abruptly ended the story with a stern "Sing!" In response, Vic quickly turned to his band, and in a classic Bishop style, told them, "Son of a gun, I think he means it." Vic proceeded to sing "All the Way". (DS9: "Image in the Sand") Bishop, Sinatra, Martin, Davis and Lawford were together members of the legendary Rat Pack. Bishop was the only member of the Rat Pack who was still alive when he was mentioned in Deep Space Nine.
