  • World's End is the rocky western coast of Saldaea, on the Aryth Ocean.
  • The World's End is a Gunlance type weapon.
  • World's End es el décimo noveno episodio de la décima temporada de CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
  • World's End is the twenty-second episode of the fourth season of the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the eighty-eighth episode overall. It is also the fourth season finale.
  • World's End is the name given to the extremely remote, far northwestern coast of the Westlands. Comprising the western coastline of Saldaea, this area to the south of the Great Blight consists of rocky, sheer cliffs that plunge into the Aryth Ocean. The Banikhan Mountains lie just inland, and prevent easy access to the coast. When Lan Mandragoran asks his wife Nynaeve to help him with his personal war against the Shadow, she drops him off at World's End and then quietly goes to rally Borderlanders to his banner, starting in the nearby town of Kayacun.
  • World's End (ワールズ・エンド, wāruzu endo, Fin del Mundo): Paradox al momento de nombrar el ataque junto con su arma invoca un poderoso rayo de energía que cae del cielo, sobre su oponente golpeándolo gravemente.
  • World's End is the nineteenth episode in season ten of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
  • The first story eschews the traditional comic style, with linked panels containing speech bubbles and panels which narrate the story: instead, the narration appears as prose, with illustrations interrupting at intervals. Gaiman had asked artist Alec Stevens to model the approach after that which he had employed in The Sinners, published by DC's Piranha Press imprint in June 1989. This approach is a unique, stained-glass-like style that takes a nod to the German Expressionists of the early 20th century.
  • As a result of this visitation, the Kherubim warrior known as Nemesis coerces Savant and the new Backlash (Jodi Slayton) to research possible endings of the world. As a result, they investigate various superhuman factions, usually violently. As a result of their investigations, Department PSI, which holds the remains of the High, decides to place it somewhere safe, and hands it over to the Number of The Beast (NOTB) Program.
  • All the lore and information that follows should be considered NON-CANON, as this is really just a hypothetical scenario. The world described in this RP is very different from the one we know. The NOTB Program is a virtual-reality network built in the 1940s from daemonite technology. Its original purpose was to "warehouse" an army of posthumans from that period, and train them to fight against the Apocalypse of Christian (notably Protestant) mythology. But instead, the program essentially became a prison. However, the High's corpse had already been used by Department PSI to create the Reaper ballistic missiles, whose warheads contained cloned versions of the High. These clones were programmed to attack superhumans. When the High's presence in the NOTB program destabilized the whole scenario (since he had been present in the 1940s but had also been missing from the scenario) and the escaped inmates were captured by the Authority, the Reapers were let loose to eliminate the prisoners. However, denied easy access to their targets who were in the Bleed, the Reapers went berserk, fighting posthumans and superheroes all over the planet. The Reapers were also designed to explode after use, as a plausible-deniability measure. When they exploded in orbit, they wreaked havoc on the Earth, inciting warming in the arctic regions, ice ages in the tropics, stripping away key parts of the atmosphere and starting fires that generating vast smog clouds. In addition to this, the Authority's Carrier crashed into London, creating a dust cloud that blocked out the Sun across most of Eastern Europe.

  • All the lore and information that follows should be considered NON-CANON, as this is really just a hypothetical scenario. The world described in this RP is very different from the one we know. Some of the major changes are outlined below. * Many major lore characters have died. (See World's End Casualty List) * Northern Kalimdor, including Mount Hyjal, is under the near-complete control of the Burning Legion. * Southern Kalimdor is under the control of the Qiraji and Silithid. * The Nightmare engulfed the Emerald Dream entirely. * The Scourge re-took Lordaeron, taking control of the both the Forsaken rebels and the zealous Scarlet Crusade. The latter was reformed under the name of The Sanguine, and are the most feared of any of the Scourge's forces. * Deathwing was forced out of hiding, and united several dragonflights under his leadership. They took the kingdom of Khaz Modan from the dwarves, and reside for the most part there. * VanCleef formed an alliance with Baron Revilgaz and Mathais Shaw (often called the Triumverate), and overthrew Stormwind. Their organization is known as the Lawless. * Varozus and his followers, the Tor Amir'ei, invaded Zul'Gurub and killed Hakkar. Varozus then declared himself the new god of Zul'Gurub. For a details of how these events happened, please see The Fall. Current Storylines: * Song for the Ancestors - Mavra Amanare, wife of Varozus and Queen of Zul'Gurub, went missing in Southern Kalimdor during the Fall. Varozus has only now gotten news of her fate, and has commandeered his son-in-law's ship to try to make the crossing to Kalimdor. * The Most Dangerous Game - While on the way to Kalimdor, they are forced to sail through a storm. Two of the crew are swept off the boat, and find themselves on a small tropical island, where they find a large manor, and enjoy the hospitality of the aging Hemet Nesingwary. However, all is not how it seems... * Restoring Order - Syri Sofia Slovotsky has recently arranged for Edwin VanCleef, king of Stormwind, to be killed. She intends to take his place and restore some sort of order to the Lawless. * The Scythe of Elune - An Old God has awakened, and has enlisted certain people to retrieve a powerful artifact for him: The Scythe of Elune.
"A Tale" concerns a city dweller who finds himself one day in what he believes to be the dream of the city in which he lives, wherein an old man explains his fear that the cities will someday awaken. He also encounters Morpheus, and a woman who looks like Death, but who Gaiman has said is not. When asked, Stevens said that he drew his own 'Mona' character from his Hardcore graphic novel, published by Piranha Press in January 1990. It ends with the frightened city dweller returning to "reality", whereupon he moves away from the city to a small village, where the storyteller meets him. He fears that one day, the cities will awaken. This story is influenced by the work of horror writer H.P. Lovecraft, especially in its image of a character nearly driven to madness after discovering a truth that humans were never meant to know. In his introduction to Lovecraft, The Dream Cycle of H. P. Lovecraft: Dreams of Terror and Death, Gaiman writes, "There's something about Lovecraft's fiction, about his worlds, that is oddly alluring for a writer of fantasy and horror. I've written three Lovecraftian stories: one obliquely, in Sandman—a quiet, dreamlike story (it's the first story in the Worlds' End collection. You can tell it's Lovecraftian, because I use the word "cyclopean" in it)."[2]
