She is played by Vernee Watson. She deals with situations in a sarcastic, but serious manner. Her name is not in the credits (other than on her name tag), but she is credited as "Althea". Apart from the main characters Leonard and Sheldon, she is the only character transferred from the original Unaired Pilot to the current series.
