The Sanzu River Shot is actually first used in the special chapter of the manga, when Kid uses it against Hiro and Excalibur. Back then, the attack is not delved into that deeply, and has a different spelling (三途リバーショット). Hiro easily dodges the attack on Excalibur. The first official time Kid used Sanzu River shot is against Mosquito in Baba Yaga's Castle. He uses it in order to break out of Mosquito's Darkness Discord but fails to do so as it requires Kid to shoot all eight thousand of Mosquito's bats. This is when he upgrades his attack to Sanzu Fall Shot, which manages to defeat Mosquito.
