  • Heavenly Steel: Scattering Dust, Dying Oblivion
rdfs:comment
  • Gin's most powerful Heavenly Steel technique, it uses the heavenly steel's natural ability to take on chakra-like properties of the user to turn the blade into millions of monocular sized speckles of dust, which are spread across the area by the wind. These dust particles are so small that they can enter the body through the skin, and enter the bloodstream via that. When these particles are in position, the user can activate their effects through stating the command Tatsu (断つ, Eradicate), which causes the dust particles to turn everything in their surroundings into monocular-sized dust, breaking down the victim until there's nothing left of them. This entire process is similar to the C4 Karura technique used by Deidara, although the two possess several differences.

abstract
Gin used this jutsu to wreak great havoc upon his defection, killing dozens of shinobi with a single attack. The weakness of the attack is that the blade must reconstruct itself, which happens automatically by having the chakra particles return back to the hilt, but this process takes a long time and the blade becomes breakable for a few days even after the reconstruction, limiting it's use to once per battle. After joining Kaguya's group, Gin has shown different variations of the technique, such as cutting the opponent directly with the blade, which causes dust particles to enter the bloodstream. The user can then achieve the same effect on a single opponent with the same command, although this variation requires direct physical with the victim. He can apparently also direct the dust when concentrating heavily on it, although this leaves him vulnerable in battle. He can control the speed at which the victim is devastated, aswell as aim it at specific body parts, allowing the technique's use for torturing purposes.
