Throughout their history they were typically stereotyped as being cunning, shrewd and good merchants, but also as loyal, selfless and humble friends. In reality, there were as many different personalities in ratfolk as there were in humans, though typically ratfolk rarely strayed far from the typical depiction. Ratfolk throughout history were often seen as the underdog, and in many countries they were persecuted and practically enslaved. They were naturally gifted with a long tail to help with balance, and agile claws that helped them climb with ease. As such, many of them made great feats of agility and they were known for being great rangers, thieves and hoodlums. Even greater was their memory, for above anything else ratfolk were extremely intelligent with regards to numbers and practical techniques. This made them great merchants, and the oldest ratfolk would often be the richest of their race, with few exceptions.
