| abstract | - The Feast Of Plenty is an annual event among the Smurfs that was featured in the episode "Greedy And The Porridge Pot". It is the day when the Smurfs make up their own food items to share with everybody in the village, and is usually considered Greedy's favorite holiday. It is probably similar to the human holiday of Thanksgiving. In the episode on the day before the Feast Of Plenty, Greedy was given a magic porridge pot by Gunilda the good fairy which he shared with his fellow Smurfs until Smurfette gave it back to him, saying that it was disrupting preparations for the feast. Brainy, desiring to wrest control of the magic porridge pot away from Greedy, swapped a painted ordinary pot with Greedy's magic pot and used it to give himself a good breakfast of porridge. However, because Brainy did not know the magic words for how to make the magic pot stop producing porridge, it ended up overflowing until the porridge flooded the village. Greedy found out what happened and went into Brainy's house to stop the pot from producing anymore porridge. After Gunilda took the magic pot away, Greedy lamented that the Feast Of Plenty day was ruined, until Clumsy pointed out that at least they have plenty of porridge, which Papa Smurf put Brainy in charge of cleaning up. Fortunately, Greedy decided that he would help as well, saying that he haven't had his breakfast yet.
